05/09/2010 --> "TWEM : We're better singers than Jedward! "

Singing French duo Twem have hit out at comparisons between themselves and Jedward, saying they’re nothing like the Irish pair from last year’s show. Speaking to the Daily Star, Twem – who performed Lady GaGa’s ‘Just Dance’ on last night’s show – said they could sing better for a start!


The pair said: “We didn’t know who Jedward were when we auditioned because they are not famous in France. We didn’t have a clue what the judges were talking about until we looked them up on YouTube afterwards.

“We don’t think we are anything like them. They have blond hair and we have dark hair for a start. We are not just twins like them – we are better singers. But we would like to meet Jedward and we could even do a single together. That would be so much fun.”

Talking about their audition, group member Medhi said: “Louis Walsh is the only judge who we had never heard of. But we like him because we have many famous kings called Louis. He seems a very good man and he liked us so we like him too.”

He added: “We decided to sing a Lady Gaga song because she is like us – completely gaga.”
