FRENCH twins Twem have already appeared on a reality talent show and released a single.

The boys were on the French version of Popstars. Samir and Medhi Beni Nouh, 25, had been favourites to win, but quit the 2007 show after producers wanted to split them up and put them in rival bands.

The boys also released a single in Belgium Tu Me Rends Fou (You Make Me Crazy) which made No1 in the radio charts in 2008 – for one day. Samir said: “When they wanted to split us up, we left. We are a duo, we perform together. We’re family. We sing with our hearts. It was important to do The X Factor because we want to be a success all over Europe.”

The Paris twins won through to the boot camp last night after Cheryl Cole dubbed them the “Parisian Jedward”. But Medhi wasn’t happy with the comparison, saying: “We may be twins but we can sing.”
